ADOPTED!

OSCAR LOST HIS FAMILY AND
HIS BEST BUDDY
Oscar was surrendered to
a shelter with another male
boxer because his family
"had no time". His best
buddy was adopted. Oscar,
however, stayed behind. We
were asked by the shelter if
we could help him. One of
our volunteers evaluated
Oscar at the shelter and
thought he was "wonderful".
Luckily we had a newly
approved foster home that
was nearby and she was
willing to help. We said,
"yes". Oscar is good with
other dogs and it is was
reported in his records that
he is good with cats.
Please consider becoming
a foster home and submit a
foster application. There
are many more “Oscars”
in shelters waiting to come
into rescue and they need
our help. We can not save
them without you.
Here is the first report
from Oscar’s foster mom:
“Oscar is the sweetest
boxer ever! He is just a
little guy (51lbs) with a
lot of love to give.
When we first got home he
was a little hesitant about
things but that very quickly
subsided.
He is a huge cuddler and
every chance he gets to have
his head on your lap, he
will. He's a lot like
having a second shadow, he
just wants to be around you
as much as possible. He
sleeps on the bed with us
and wants to be cuddled up
with you.
He does great on a leash
and he knows sit and shake.
When riding in the car, at
first he would only lay on
the floor but in just a few
days he has progressed to
climbing on the seat and
just looking out the window
or laying down on the
backseat.
Oscar seems to be
settling in perfectly with
our schedule and we're
grateful to have him here
with us.” |
