03/17/13: CAPONE IS ADOPTED!!!!
02/20/13: Capone Was Abandoned
In An Apartment
Capone’s story is a
sad one. What we learned from Animal
Control is that Capone was left in an
apartment by himself after his family
moved out. By the time he was discovered
he was very thin. He was taken to a
Shelter on December 8th 2012 where he
had been until one of our volunteers
went to pick him up.
Apparently
Capone’s “owner” was given the chance to
claim him several times. They kept
saying that they would come to get
Capone but then never appeared. Finally,
after more than two months at the
shelter, an official letter was sent to
the people stating they would no longer
have a legal right to claim him if they
did not come by a specified date. They
never came. Animal Control called asking
for our help and we made arrangements
for one of our volunteers to get Capone
immediately.
One look at Capone
and you know that his physical care has
been poor. He is currently with our
Veterinarian where he is getting a
thorough physical. He will receive
whatever medical care he needs and will
also be neutered. He will be going to
his foster home after he is released
from the hospital.
