This is our newest boy Soda-pop.  We call him "Poppy", he came into rescue a few days ago from one of the local shelters. He has obviously not had the kindest of lives, he is horribly thin and his beautiful natural ears were bleeding and ragged on the tips, possibly from frost bite. In the past week he has been completely vetted, and neutered and on his way to wonderful new life.

Poppy is about 1 1/2 - 2 years old. I have been fostering Poppy in my home for the last two days and will continue to through out the week. He is affectionate, well mannered and very sweet. He appears to be in heaven in my home , he loves his soft bed most of all... he probably never had a soft warm place to sleep. He gets along fine with my 1 1/2 year old female boxer and although he does not have her energy level yet, I am sure he will once he gains a little weight and gets some rest. I already see a difference from yesterday, he was running around like a happy boy as opposed to the shy, neglected boy he was a few days ago. 

Today I left him alone in my home for about three hours and when I returned he greeted me with kisses and wiggles not to mention he did not disrupt anything in my kitchen. This young boy would make a great addition to any family.

Because we do not have a history with children , we will not place him with young one. Other dogs are fine. And we will cat test him soon.
