2/23/04 - Drifter

Drifter is a young boy (2 to 3 years), possible Collie mix. He was surrendered to NBR by a no kill shelter that has very little luck adopting out adult dogs. Drifter lived at this shelter most of his life. Living around dozens of other dogs, constant barking, and a cold cement floor as his bed. He was absolutely terrified of everything when first pulled from this shelter. He is now being fostered with 10 other dogs, males, females, big and small, and almost as many cats. He has learned how to use a doggy door, is totally house broken , crate trained, has no food issues (actually shares with the cats) and is finally loving life. Drifter's ideal home would be with either someone home most of the time or with a companion dog to spend his days with, a fenced in yard, and older children. Please understand that Drifter will still need to be worked with as if he is a pup but all the love that he has to give will be well worth it.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an online application first.  Then e-mail the contacts below.  Be sure to include your full name, city, state, and area code in the subject line of your message.
