Zeus has totally adjusted to his foster home. He has the funniest, sweetest and liveliest personality. He met my friend's 3 children last week and was GREAT with them! They loved him and he loved them. He has not met a person who he has not been able to warm over yet. He has gained 15 pounds (now he is 70 lbs) since he was rescued and he looks great!! I have people stop us on our walks to tell me what a beautiful boxer he is.

He is such a big love that he tries to be a lap dog. While I grade papers at my table or we wait at the vet... he climbs up into my lap!! The vet techs go hysterical.  they think he is so cute.

He loves to go to the nearby baseball field and run, run, run. We are introducing him to other dogs slowly because he has never had a lot of socialization with them However, he is continuing to show improvement and hopefully soon he will have many doggie friends!

Hi guys...it is me "Zeus" . I just wanted to give you an update on how I am doing in my foster home.  I had my heart murmur checked out by the doctor and he said that it is just a murmur and I am fine!!!  Good news for me!!  I am adjusting in my foster home and starting to show my real personality now that I have people who care about me.  I really do not like to be alone in the house very much. I get bored.  I LOVE to go for rides in the car with my foster mom.  Please do not leave your shades down on the sindows becasue I love to try to get them up so I can look outside.

2/504 - Zeus

"Hi my name is Zeus. I am about 4 or 5 years old.  My foster mom & dad say I am a BIG LOVE.  Everyone at the Animal Hospital loved me.  The vet even told my foster mom as soon as  she walked in the office how friendly I was. My story is yet another sad tale.  My previous owners abandoned me for no apparent reason . The SPCA picked me up wandering the streets. They tried to contact my owners but they would NOT answer the door or the phone so I wound up at the shelter, but luckily I was rescued.  I have had all of my shots and vaccinations.  I am a little skinny, but my foster parents are on top of that. I have a little skin and ear infection because I was on the streets for awhile and there have been RECORD LOW TEMPERATURES, but I have antibiotic and ear drops to help. I am going to see another doctor next week for the heart murmur they found. When the test is done (echocardiogram) the special heart doctor will know if the murmur means anything. Sometimes people and dogs just have them.

Zeus is such a friendly and sweet dog. I do not know why anyone would throw this guy to the street.  He is totally housebroken and very well behaved.  We have not even heard him bark yet!  He is very appreciative of the roof over his head and he loves to play with his toys and he LOVES his dog bed!   He is looking for a family to love him and take care of him.
