Georgia has been adopted!!

8/16/05 - Update from Foster Home:

"Georgia is a playful Boxer Girl, she is not shy about initiating play any of our three and they will initiate play with her.  Running around, wrestling, and playing tug o'war with a toy all fit the bill for fun times.  She has no issues entertaining herself a Nyla or Sterilized bone to gnaw on are her favorites.  We would definitely like to see her go to a home with another dog to play with and keep her company!"

7/17/05 - Update from Foster Home:

"Just a quick update to highlight Georgia's progress.  My brother and his family visited for four days and Georgia was wonderful with all three children.  Her calm disposition and strong desire for affection made her everyone's favorite.  She has put most of the weight she needs on, and though she is petite, is filling out nicely.

She continues to make great strides in coming out of her shell.  She was quite shy when she first arrived in our home, but now is just like one of the gang.  She started out overwhelmed by three crazy growling dogs playing in the same room as her, but after several weeks graduated to playing with her favorite step-brother Diesel.  In the past few days she has even joined in on several rough and tumble three-dog play sessions that lasted 20 minutes!  Considering I don't think she even knew what a toy was when she arrived, it really is fun to watch.

She was incredibly easy to teach some basic obedience such as sit and leash walking so I don't see any issues there.

She's a winner!"

7/8/05 - Georgia, although we call her peanut more often than not, has been in our home for three weeks now and is doing wonderful.  She is the easiest dog we have fostered and would do fine in just about any home.  She gets along very well our three dogs and has no interest in the cat.  We haven't seen her with children, but relatives are visiting this weekend and I will update.

She is very easy going and the longer she is with us the more her gentle personality shines.  When she first came to us we were unable to determine what her prior situation was, and what experiences she had.  The first few days she wouldn't even consider using the stairs, but suddenly learned how to go up one day and down the next.  She was very weary of our dogs when they played together, but is now joining in on the fun.

When we got her she was a bag-of-bones, but she has put on about half the weight she needs to cover up her ribs.  Too many advances to write them all, so I'll just leave it by saying she is great!
