Toby has been Adopted!!

7/03/06 -
This adorable young man goes by the name of Toby.  He will celebrate his first birthday on 7/6/06.  He arrived in rescue this past Saturday when his thoughtful but sad owner released him to NBR.  Toby's companion was a very slight, senior woman who loved him dearly.  But we all know how much exercise a young boxer needs and he just wasn't able to get that in his former home.

In the short time he has been with us, Toby has proven himself to be a very well-trained and friendly boy.  He knows all the basic commands along with a couple of tricks.  He is housebroken, crate trained, pretty good on a leash and friendly to everything and everyone he meets.  The other dogs in his foster home have become his instant playmates and he is also quite respectful of the two parrots who reside there.  Toby has never lived with children or cats but he has been in contact with older kids and enjoys their company.

This handsome young guy won't be around long, so if your interested, let us hear from you soon.  We feel the perfect home for Toby would include another friendly, playful dog, a fenced yard and an active, attentive owner who might be interested in pursuing animal assisted therapy work with Toby as we feel he has the perfect temperament and experience for such work.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an online application first.  Then e-mail the contact below.  Be sure to include your full name, city, state, and area code in the subject line of your message.
