THE DIVINE MISS “M”

MOCHA is a typical 1 year old boxer pup.  She is being surrendered for being just that - an active young boxer.  Her current family has not been able to give her what she craves - attention, time and patience.  In their words, “We do want to go ahead and give Mocha up for adoption, she is still causing us problems/stress just about every day.  A lot of it may be puppy-like behavior that she may grow out of, but frankly we don't have the patience for it anymore.”

 This is a very common story to NBR.  The family already had a young boxer and got another puppy to keep the other boxer occupied.  Needless to say….this is not the answer.  Dogs can not take care of themselves….dogs need people too.

 Mocha is as adorable as she is abundantly energetic.  She is used to a fenced yard which will be a must in her new home.  She will need to learn some manners when walked on a leash.

 Mocha is not much of a barker unless she is crated.  She is not a fan of the crate and is only confined there when left alone (a maximum of two hours).  She currently sleeps on a dog bed, but I am sure she would enjoy sleeping in bed with her family.

 This little girl has some manners; she understands “sit” “stay” and “lay down” and is well behaved in the car.  She likes other dogs but she has no experience with cats.

 Mocha’s date of birth is 2-24-07 and she was purchased from a pet shop at 5 months old. Her medical records indicate that she is already spayed and up to date on her inoculations. The records also indicate a previous history of démodéctic mange and giardia which we will have rechecked.

 Her family has requested that we place her in a foster home as soon as possible.  We need your help.
