Scarlet is a 3 1/2 year old female boxer who is being surrendered to rescue due to a family member’s allergies.  They have had her since she was a puppy and are sad to see her leave.  Scarlet is a very loving girl.  She adores to be loved, petted and scratched.

Scarlet likes to ride in the car, like most boxers, and enjoys playing with balls or a rubber Kong in her fenced backyard.  She is used to being fed twice a day like we recommend.  She likes some banana in the morning and enjoys being fed green beans as a treat.  She knows some hand signals along with verbal direction for sit, stay and down.

Scarlet is housebroken and likes to go for walks.  She is the curious type, so she does take time to smell the roses (and the grass, and the rocks, and the sidewalk….).  Scarlet has never lived with a cat but is familiar with a relative’s cat whom they visit.  She did live with another dog for a short time but eventually they had some issues, so placing her with another dog will be considered with care.

According to her family, Scarlet will sometimes eat things (socks, plush toys…etc) so she would not be suitable for a cluttered or untidy household.  Scarlet would do well with a family that has someone home for the better part of the day.  Although she is currently crated during working hours, she would prefer to follow someone around all day and become their best friend.

 Scarlet is already spayed, has current vaccines, and is ready for a new family who will continue to love her.
