01/18/10: These special
girls are ADOPTED!!!!!
1/08/10: Your donations
have made the
difference, without your
continued support we
would not of been able
to take Molli and
Beatrice into our
program when they needed
us most. We have two
other high medical need
dogs that are praying we
can raise more funds in
turn getting them the
medical care they
desperately need. Please
continue to support our
cause, your donations
make life possible for
these wonderful animals
that people have once
left behind.
Thank you to Molli and
Beatrice's foster
parents you have been
wonderful, these girls
look amazing and without
you, opening your home,
and taking the time to
see to their medical
needs NONE of this would
of been possible. Molli,
Beatrice, and NBR are
grateful for everything
you have done to give
these girls a chance,
your work and commitment
shines!
These
girls are "Pending
Adoption"

Two Young Sisters Molli
and Beatrice...Abandoned
Because They Have Mange
Two sweet sisters, Molli
and Beatrice, were
brought to a Shelter by
someone who said they
were found as strays;
therefore we have no
background information
on either pup. The
shelter manager called
and asked if we would
take them both.
They had a confirmed
diagnosis of
non-contagious démodétic
mange. Luckily one
of our great volunteers
was willing to travel to
pick up both pups to
foster and assist with
their necessary extra
care. Both girls will
need to be spayed after
the doctor gives the
"OK".
Below is their first
update.
"Molli and Beatrice,
or Molli Magnificent
and Beautiful Bea as
they are known, came
to us from a shelter
in
Vermont.
They are
approximately 18
weeks old. They are
your typical
puppies. They love
to cuddle and run
around and can be
naughty without
proper supervision.
They are both
currently dealing
with a case o
Demodex Mange which
is a non-contagious
mite that affects
the hair follicles
on their body. It
will take some time
for them to be
completely healed
from the mange but
we expect a full
recovery. Besides
the medication to
kill the mites (ProMeris),
they are taking
antibiotics and
getting numerous
baths with a special
benzoyl peroxide
shampoo.
Both girls are
working on
housebreaking and
for the most part
are crate trained.
They sleep together
in their crate and
do not cry at all
when in there. They
have learned to come
when a whistle is
blown, and boy, you
should see them run
like the wind when
they hear it. They
are also learning
proper good girl
behavior like sit
and stay and not to
jump; but the
jumping is hard when
their dinner is
getting ready.
Molli is the
bigger of the two
pups with the black
mask. She is super
sweet. Bea is the
smaller of the two
with white on her
face. They both love
to give lots of
kisses and love to
play with their big
fur sisters and
brothers. Overall,
they are great
puppies, but as all
puppies do, they can
be destructive if
you do not watch
them properly.
Molli and Bea
deserve loving homes
where they will be
loved and cared for
and shown the way
into a doggy
adulthood."
