06/01/11: DUEY IS
ADOPTED - An Update from
Duey's mom as he settles
in ... New Pictures too!
"Duey
starts his day early in
the morning with a walk
(or should I say
sprint!). Along the way
he wakes up the
neighborhood cats and
squirrels just to make
sure nobody misses the
sun coming over the
mountains.
Duey then moves on to
the back yard to oversee
his domain. No bird or
bee is exempt from a
good chase. He loves
going down to the river
and checking out the
latest water levels
–loves wading in and
getting his feet wet.
His favorite pastime so
far is chasing bubbles
with “the boy” (my 5
year old grandson). Duey
has quickly found his
way into the hearts of
my family. He is full of
love and life -- always
up for a good run or
jump but just as content
to snuggle up on the
couch. I am amazed at
how quickly he has
settled in. It seems as
though he’s always
belonged here. Duey has
finally found his way
home…."
04/25/11: Duey still
needs a foster home...
Duey is a really active
boy and could do a 24
hour play marathon,
however, he is also one
of the biggest couch
potatoes I have ever
met, once its bed time
he will not move off the
couch or bed until you
do ...and sometimes he
even stays in bed a bit
longer! He really wants
a family to call his own
who will include him in
all kinds of activities! Duey does well with some
dogs; the introductions
need to be really slow
and if there is any
tension not forced. Duey
has NEVER had a accident
in the house and is a
real worker for treats!

DUEY IS AVAILABLE FOR
ADOPTION IN MONTANA
Foster Home
Needed...
Duey is a 1.5 yr
old all-boxer
boy. Duey is
looking for a
home without
small children
or cats. Duey is
110% house
trained and
knows all his
basic commands
although he is
so hungry for
love and
attention right
now you may have
to ask him
twice! He is
neutered and up
to date on all
his shots.
Duey came
into rescue
because he
wasn't doing
well in the
home(s) he had
been in since
his owners moved
and weren't able
to take him.
Duey originally
lived with
another male
boxer and they
were best
buddies however
since they split
Duey became very
scared and is
initially timid
and insecure
with meeting
some dogs. We
are working on
building his
confidence back
up and
socializing him
properly. He
does very well
with another
foster puppy;
they play and
bounce all over
together.
Duey is your
typical boxer,
he needs a lot
of exercise and
most importantly
to be a part of
the family, he
loves to cuddle
up on your lap.
We are looking
for an active
home that wants
a sidekick, is
boxer savvy, and
has a lot of
patience and
love to keep
Duey moving
forward in the
right direction.
This Boy is a
sweetheart and
deserves the
best are you his
forever home?
