In Memory:
Mo Toms

We got Mo when he was about eight weeks old. Although I barely
remember him as a puppy, he has been a very faithful and loyal family
member since February 1992. He was my little brother, or so we treated
him. He always waited patiently during dinner for any of us to drop
him a scrap. He was always ready to GO. His favorite place was in the back seat of my Mom's
mini-van. All we had to say was "Mo, do you wanna. . . ?"
And he would go wild. He always greeted me at the door when I came
home from High School, he saw me off to college. Actually he was the
first in the family to see my new dorm room other than me. He
took the trip up to school with me when I moved in. He always greeted
me with his tail wiggle and half turn at the door when I came home for
breaks. He was like no other pet my family has ever had. He was a
wonderful, wonderful pet. He was the perfect gentleman. What Wonderful
manners. He loved children and baby lambs. He even loved the cats,
although I don't think he'd ever admit it. He was so full of dignity,
even when my sister and I dressed him up in a pink ballerina tutu and
made him sit and wait for pictures. That is why the decision to put
him to sleep because of a pelvic tumor was so hard for my parents to
make. He would have lost all control of his bowels, and what kind of
life would that have been for such a charming and dignified man. I
have always been partial to Great Danes because that is what I grew up
with, but Mo you changed my life in such a wonderful way I can't ever
imagine owning anything but boxers. You were the best dog I have ever
had, and I'm sorry I didn't get the chance to tell you while you were
here. But I know now you are in no pain, and you have the van all to
yourself now, boy. We love and miss you!!
Your big sister
always-Elizabeth
