3/20/02 - We all could take a lesson from this sweet girl.  She is a living example of forgiveness and love.  Everyone who meets her, human and animal, falls in love with her.  She loves going to the dog park, where she runs like the wind, jumping and rolling and playing with the other dogs.  She is totally unaware that she is deaf and is just as curious, happy and willing to try anything new as any other dog is.  She loves going for rides in the car.  Because of my long hours at work, her housebreaking is going a little slowly, but she does not have accidents on the weekends when I'm home more.  She loves soft, stuffed toys and does not hesitate to share them with the other dogs.  She loves to play tug with the other dogs too.  All in all, this is the most gentle, loving package of sweet I've ever met.  She brings so much joy where ever she goes.

2/18/02 - Amelia is a 4-year old deaf, white, female boxer.

Hi. My name is Amelia. I'm very lucky to be alive to tell my story. I was rescued from horrible conditions. Since my birth, my brothers and sisters were all confined to little cages where we stayed all our lives until we were rescued. We were terribly neglected, mistreated and never had love and affection that we so desperately craved. My foster mom and dad have taken real good care of me. I'm gaining more weight with each day. I'm heartworm negative and now up to date on all my shots and spayed. I now play with my three step dog brothers and sister--a Schnauzer, a Boston Terrier and a Doberman. I also have a step cat I get along with great. One other thing, I'm deaf but that doesn't stop me from being like any other dog. I'm learning hand signals and I'm housebroken. Won't someone please give me a forever home with my own family?
