Adoption Application Status Requests info- Please Read

In an effort to better communicate with applicants seeking status on their adoption applications, we have created the form below.

This form will help us locate, check status, and advise you as to where your app is in our approval cycle. We know you are eager to adopt one, or two of our wonderful Boxers, or you would never have filled out our 7 page adoption app. But please think about how long that app was, and multiply that by at least 100 per week, and you'll have some idea on the time it takes to process them all. Add some more time in there for reference checks, and a home visit, and sprinkle in these time consuming application status requests, and you'll know why we are apologizing right now for delays in getting back to you.

Boxers and Applicants are not matched on a first come, first served basis. On average, it takes between 1 week and 3 months to adopt a Rescue Boxer, depending on your personal circumstances and flexibility. For example; If you are looking for a young female, who is good with other dogs, cats, and small kids, please know that yours will be a hard application to fill.

As stated above, we get over 100 hundred applications a week, and we place about 40 dogs per month. Matching Boxers suitable for placement with younger children, other dogs, cats, and special needs, yours and theirs, increases the application review time and adoption time.

Please allow us at least a week or so before requesting status. These status requests take us away from reviewing your Applications and matching you with dogs.

And yes, we realize that the Boxer you may have your heart set on, may be adopted before you're approved. Should your first choices already have found their forever home, we have provided a space below for you to advise us as to other dogs you are interested in. Be happy for the ones that have been placed... and know that there are way too many fantastic dogs waiting in their place.

We hope you feel that the right Boxer is worth waiting for.
