4/4/00 - April is a fawn female with natural ears and tail, who is
scheduled to be spayed on Wednesday. She was wandering around the railroad
tracks and was picked up when she strayed into the train station. She looks as
though she recently finished raising a litter of pups (probably her first) and
appears to be about a year old. April is not friendly with other dogs so far; we don't know about cats. She was very sweet with me, though, and
the first day I picked her up she stood up and put her paws on my shoulders to
give me a kiss. It seemed as though she was thanking me for getting her out
of the shelter. If you think April would make the perfect addition to your
