Harley finally came to my home on Saturday. I can honestly say that she is the best foster dog I have ever had the privilege to care for. She is amazingly lovable. Trusts everyone. Plays rough with my male Boxer who prefers it that way, but so so gentle with my female who can't play rough. She sleeps with my son and shares the bed as much as possible. We took her swimming over the weekend and she loved everyone at the swimming hole. Jumping in and swimming around with the kids. When they approach her with treats she actually sits up on her high nee and puts her only front paw in the air to shake. She has the most gentle soul I have ever met in a dog. Harley is an absolute Gem!!!! 09/07/03 - Harley Harley is searching desperately for an angel to rescue her. Harley is a 15 month old female English Mastiff. When Harley was 4 months old she was hit by a car. She recently had to have her front leg amputated. (shh, Harley doesn't know) It is unbelievable how well she gets around, swims, plays with children and other dogs, and walks a mile and a half a day to keep her muscles nice and strong. that's the good news. The bad news is Harley's dad no longer wants her. She is staying with a baby-sitter who says that Harley is an absolute joy. She loves kids, cats, and all dogs. Harley road in the back seat with a 5 yr.old child on her way to come meet me. While giving Harley some treats some neighborhood children asked to pet her. I was a little reluctant to let them approach her while eating her bones but the baby-sitter said "go right ahead". The kids helped Harley shove the last few morsels into her big sloppy mouth and Harley loved the attention, the whole time wagging away. She is an absolute sweet heart. Please help us to help Harley. KEEP IN MIND * Harley is a very big girl (approx. 115 lbs. and growing) she will only go to a home that is ready and willing to do plenty of walking to keep this girl fit!
