I have lots to tell you about this boy. He is an absolute dreamboat! Where to start? Dirt is so much more noticeable on white than it is on brindle, and by Tuesday he was so in need of a bath it just wasn't funny. You would have thought that bath was a 99- ounce porterhouse the way he savored it! He dove right into the tub and didn't want to get out. His first few nights with us he mostly wandered around the house between very short naps checking everyone to see if they were sleeping. I'm happy to report that he's chosen his sleeping spot - on my bed curled up against my stomach. And he sleeps like a boxer - heavy, snoring loudly and with the face of an angel. He is madly in love with Queenie (my Boxer) and they are nonstop motion inside and out. They play constantly. Rex was made for the dog park. He's fast and really beautiful when he runs. So far, he gets along with every dog he has met. There was one dog who didn't like him and was rather growly about it, but Rex just walked away and went off to romp with the others. He's more interested in the cat food than he is in the cats, although he will run after them when invited. All in all, Rex is just a happy-go-lucky guy who seems to think that life is beautiful and everything is an adventure. He's an easy houseguest and i have no doubt he'll be a fabulous pet. I just can't say enough about what a joy he is to be around. He's really deserving of a home and family who will love him and keep him forever.
4/18/04 This Boxer boy is way too cute, housebroken, and knows some basic commands. The story as I understand it is his original home could not keep him. They
gave him to a friend who gave him to a friend, etc, etc. Rex will be neutered next week and then will be ready for his FOREVER HOME. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an online application first. Then e-mail the contact below. Be sure to include your full name, city, state, and area code in the subject line of your message. |
