Remo Remo is a 1 year old gorgeous fawn male, but he can be a real nut. He can be very well behaved when he wants to be, but clearly no one ever took the time to train him much. I wonder if he spent much time on a leash when outdoors (?) -- probably in a yard with a fence. He has no idea how to walk properly on a leash. He leans, pulls, turns, wraps around me, wants to take the leash (sometimes). He is big and strong. He barks when he sees things from the car, but he hasn't barked while walking on the streets in Manhattan. The shelter team said his owners surrendered him for several reasons. They described him as very active! He loves to just chill on the floor or couch, but when I get up he is really jumpy. He wants to play rough (would not advise kids under 12 to be in home), but he knows how to be gentle. I really think his behavior is due to lack of training. I will write more when I get to know him. He has been with me for less than a day. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an online application first. Then e-mail the contacts below. Be sure to include your full name, city, state, and area code in the subject line of your message. |
