12/29/02 -  Arnold

Arnie received his name because he reminded us of Arnold
Schwarzenegger, because of his chiseled physique and soft teddy bear personality.

Arnie is believed to be about 6 years old but has the disposition of a well behaved , 3 year old. He is bold, proud, full of spunk and full of LOVE.  He listens to commands, down and sit and walks well on a leash. Sometimes when I speak to him, in order to show that he is listening, he comes up and gives me a big hug.

I’ve gotten to know Arnie very well. This is fortunate for me but not so fortunate for him. He has been in rescue and living in a kennel for about two months. Arnie needs and deserves a home for the New Year. He can not be placed with children because we do not have a past history on him. And we believe he may do better in a home without smaller animals such as cats or small dogs.

Would you please open up your hearts and give this Boy a chance. We are sure he would be a great companion. If you would like to know more about Arnie or like to me him, please send us an email. This boy deserves a New Life for the New Year.

12/18/02 - New Pics & update

I have some new pics here of Arnold - These pics show how beautiful he is.

11/08/02 - Arnold

Arnold was found running loose - apparently abandoned by those he loved most. He's a wonderful older boy; probably around 6 years or so. He looks as if he hasn't had the kindest of lives - some scars on his forelegs and head attest to the fact he's been beat up a time or two by other dogs. Poor thing; all he wants is love. He came willingly with me, although he seemed reluctant to leave the vet techs at the veterinary hospital he was left with. He cried in the crate in the car, probably not knowing what was about to become of him.

What a sweetheart! This boy is a doll; he has a great outlook on life - today we went to the vet's to be neutered, and he was sweet and clingy - kissed me every chance he got, and didn't growl at all at the pitbull or doberman who were in the vet's office with us. Whoever adopts this boy will have a true champion - not in the show ring maybe, but in spirit, without a doubt! He's a large boy - thin, and weighing in at 67 lbs, he'll be big when he puts on a little weight. He likes to stand up and hug you around the waist (all the better to kiss you, my dear!), but I'm working to get him over that.
