01/16/03 - Update and New Pic
Velious is still here and needing his
forever home. He is getting along great with his foster siblings,
and would make a great companion to dog and human alike. Please give
him a chance.

Velious is a sweet and adorable 1 year old white neutered male Boxer who happens to be deaf. He was surrendered to a shelter when his family moved to an apartment that did not allow dogs. Velious is friendly to everyone two and four footed....good with other dogs, cats, and kids. However since we do not have much background information about him, we will only place him with children over 8 years old. Velious needs a fenced yard, and someone who can provide him with lots of attention.
Below is a report from Velious at his foster home:
I am a 1yr male neutered, deaf, white boxer. I love everyone and everything.... I must be in a home where they understand the special needs of a deaf dog and the uniqueness of a boxer... we do not like to be alone at any time nor in a crate, as I love to always be with my human companions. I, as do most all boxers, love to ride in cars and am happy to go with you anywhere....but as with most boxers I want to sit on a humans lap even in the car... bring a human friend for me to sit on for the ride
...hehe :)
All this said, I am not really for a 9-5er or for people working out of the house for any long period of time. I would be best with a home-bound or home-employed human / family. I am also always allowed to sit on all the furniture so if you are a human that does not see me as a family member with that privilege then I am not for you.
