Dixie was taken from a horrible home where she was punched in the head by her old owner every time she had an accident or went outside when the kids let her out. Prior to that her old home tried to breed her and when she didn't have any pups they brought her to the vet and he said it would kill her to have pups and that she should not be bred. They did not want her and passed her on to the home that punched her. She is shy but super sweet and affectionate. She needs a little time to see that she won't be harmed by everyone. After she drank tea out of their glass that was left on the table they said she had to go.

Lucky for her a woman who knew of her living conditions was trying unsuccessfully for weeks to get them to give her the dog. She asked us for help and I said get her and we'll figure out what to do with her later. Well, she is at a vet hospital getting looked at right now and she will be spayed on Thursday and given the works.

She lived with children of all ages 2, 5, 11 and up. The house was insane. There were numerous cats and they said she was fine with other dogs.

Please help Dixie, she needs us now. We are full and have too many dogs in the kennel. HELP!
