This dog has been adopted but has not yet completed the two week "trial period" in it's new home. Should the placement prove to be a poor fit for dog and/or family, he/she will be moved to the AVAILABLE section on the Available Dogs page.

8/11/01 - If you had to pick one face out of a crowd of Boxers - this is the face you'd pick. We know this because this little girl was asked to appear live and in person on New York's own - GOOD DAY NEW YORK. And was she ever ready for her close-up Mr. DeMille! Brianne (named after one of the Good Day hosts) came to us via a New Jersey shelter where she was left after wondering the streets. This sweet little girl is all the Boxer enthusiasm with a personality that won't quit. She is wonderful with the 2 male boxers she's living with and quite curious about the cat. After only 1 day, she has displayed signs of being protective of her new family, barking if someone comes to the door. Her favorite moment is putting her head in your hand while you rub her ears - she will grunt and groan with so much happiness! She is housebroken, not food aggressive, is great in the car, and knows some basic commands - sit and come being her best. Brianne is about 2-3 yrs old, 55 pounds and quite strong - but she walks very nicely on leash. There is some scarring on Brianne's head and neck - we don't know what may have happened to her in the past, but a soft pillow and a loving home is what will win this sweet girl's heart right now. She will be spayed in a few days, and no....the tongue doesn't go in!
