"Brittainy"

This dog has been adopted but has not yet completed the two week "trial period" in it's new home. We are no long accepting applications or inquiries. Should the placement prove to be a poor fit for dog and/or family, he/she will be moved to the AVAILABLE section on the Available Dogs page.

8/22/01 - This is Brittainy. She is a 5 year old brindle female looking for a new home. Her original owners moved into a townhouse that did not allow large dogs. She and her brother Alex were then put up for adoption. The owners adopted Brittainy out themselves to a very nice woman that had the best of intentions- she just didn't realize how much she was gone due to work commitments until she took on the responsibility of a dog. She now needs to place Brittainy because she travels too often and feels it is not fair to the dog. We placed Alex, Brittainy's brother, in a great home with another female boxer- so there is no room at that Inn for poor Brittainy.

Brittainy is perfect. She is crate trained, but does not need it. She prefers to lay on the couch all day and relax. She is ok with other dogs, but may take a bit of time to warm up to them. She is currently walked by a dog walker during the day that walks her with another dog. She is fully housebroken. Great on a leash, although she may bark at other dogs while passing. She loves children, but we are not sure about cats.

Brittainy was always a loyal companion to her family, a great pet and bundle of love to everyone she met. It is so sad that she is the one that must suffer due to others circumstances. She was separated from her canine brother, and her family that she knew her whole life. This girl truly deserves the comfort of your quiet home where she will get tons of love and attention (and a cozy couch to sleep on). won't you please consider Brittainy- she will thank you for the rest of her life.
