Adopted!!
3/21/00 - Spike is a 2 1/2 year old fawn male boxer, medium-sized, with
natural ears. He is very inquisitive and affectionate, and is used to leash
walks. Spike was an owner surrender, by a young lady who was living on her own and has now moved back in with her mother. He was very cautious
when I first arrived, but warmed up immediately, and then decided it was okay
to stand up and give me hugs. Spike knows "sit" and "give paw," and wants to
ride in the front seat of the car, which I don't encourage, so we employed a
doggie seat belt to keep him in the back for the ride to the kennel.
He is not used to being in a crate, and is accustomed to having the apartment
to himself during the day. He seems to like most other dogs, and I don't know
if he's ever been around cats. Spike is in great shape, and will be neutered on Thursday and ready to go home Friday. He has a little acne
on his chin, which his owner said came from a change in food, but this is nothing serious and will probably be gone in a short time. We'll post
pictures as soon as they come back, so if you're looking for a really nice boy, please get your applications in right away and mention him by name-this one's going to go fast!
