• Posted 11/8/99 - Dolly is a 8-12 month old white female Boxer mix. She is very beautiful and quite petite at approximately 40 pounds. She is incredibly sweet, even though she has obviously suffered abuse. She has a scar that surrounds her neck where a choke collar grew into her neck. The staff at the shelter where she came from said that when they arrived at work the people turning her in were hitting and kicking her. They were very glad to take the dog from them. She was very fearful when first picked up, but she has adjusted to kindness quickly and is no longer timid or afraid. She is very friendly with other dogs, and is definitely enjoying the good life. She has already received two baths that she tolerated well, and has been treated for a bad flea infestation. We are working with her on crate training and housebreaking, and she will no doubt learn quickly.
