"Hana"

I've been Adopted!!

• 2/21/00 - Hana's previous placement did not work out and she is again available for adoption.  The family said she was "too much dog" for them after having lost their 14 year old German Shepard.
  
• Update 1/26/00 - Hana came into our care in Rochester this last Saturday.  She made many friends during her transportation here from NJ!  She is a very sweet, loving, trusting and cuddly dog.  Her favorite thing is just to be near you.  She will sit next to me at the computer and if I reach down to pet her she flops belly up for some rubbing!!  Hana is completely housebroke and is also crate trained.  She does sometimes jump up on people when trying to get their attention.

While she is quite quiet and mellow in the house, when outside she does like a good run and play session.  She is very cute leaping through the snow to chase a ball or stick.  Hana likes other dogs but prefers those that do not jump on her.  If they are too wild and crazy she may growl at them but nothing more.  Once she realizes that they won't hurt her she will play with them.  She is fine with my parrots but we don't know how she is with cats.  As you can see from the photo's, she basically looks like a black lab with a boxer shaped head!  She has beautiful big brown eyes.

We do not have children but she has been fine with those that she met in the foster home prior to coming here.  Her family took her and her doggy friend to they shelter because "they were moving". :(

• Posted 1/20/00 - HANA - BOXER MIX- APPROX 55LBS. FEMALE, APPROX 2YRS. VERY SWEET, UP TO DATE ON SHOTS HEARTWORM NEG. DUMPED AT A SHELTER LEFT FOR DEAD, BUT RESCUE SAVED ME FROM MY DREAD.  NOW I AM WAITING PATIENTLY FOR A KIND HEART TO COME AND LOVE ME!  AM I THE RIGHT DOG FOR YOU?  I LIKE OTHER DOGS AND KIDS.
