Sandy was an owner turn-in to an animal shelter in Manhattan. When her time was up, many people went out of their way to make sure she was given a second chance at finding a new home.

After a long trip from Manhattan to Rochester, NY (involving 4 different volunteer driver's), she made it to her foster home.  Sandy took it all in stride and eventually was adopted by the loving family pictured below.   She is thriving in her new home in Pennsylvania with her new "moms" and sisters - one human and one canine.
