Follow Up: Rific

Well, we always heard 2 boxers are better than one. So, we were fostering Rific and decided to make him part of our family.

It's so true that you can't judge the true personality of a boxer in rescue. We never thought we would get beyond the initial introduction between our Jake (5 yo. rescue) and Rific. Jake has always done great with all our fosters, but Rific was not making things easy.

Needless to say, after 3 days you'd never know they weren't friends. Rific is so attached to Jake, he has to sleep on him or stand so close to him, the look like they're attached.

We're waiting for some better weather to go to obiedence. He needs work in leash walking and maybe some more help with canine social interactions. But he drools so profusely when he sees food&treats, we're waiting for better weather outside so our kitchen doesn't look like a lake! Although, the bubbles he blows are quite impressive~

Rific loves to play tug-o-war. When he does this with Jake, Jake will lay down and Rific will tow him around on the carpeted floor. Jake just loves it! It's the greatest back-scratch. And Rific will give Jake the tow back if he lets go! So funny to watch the two of them.

Thanks, NBR
