"Jade"

This dog has been adopted but has not yet completed the two week "trial period" in it's new home. We are no long accepting applications or inquiries. Should the placement prove to be a poor fit for dog and/or family, he/she will be moved to the AVAILABLE section on the Available Dogs page.

• 11/28/00 - Update: Jade has been in foster care for several days now. She is a wonderful dog. Unfortunately she has not warmed up to the other dogs in the household. Jade is NOT aggressive towards them but prefers they do not make contact with her either. For this reason, we will be placing Jade in a home as an only dog. 

• 11/20/00 - Jade is a 4 yr old brindle girl, cropped and docked. She will be brought up to date on shots and spayed shortly. Jade is housebroken and crate trained, although she no longer needs to be in the crate when left alone. Jade is very obedient! She has gone through obedience training and her previous owner was very consistent throughout. She walks well on leash, and obeys commands immediately. Jade is a very large female. We estimate her to be at least 65lbs!

  Our initial impression of Jade is that she is a very loyal and protective boxer. Jade doesn't seem to be comfortable with other dogs right now. Things may change when she's more at ease in her foster home. She has never lived with cats but has visited homes that had cats and she was fine.
