This
dog has been adopted but has not yet completed the two week "trial
period" in it's new home. Should the placement prove to be a poor fit for dog
and/or family, he/she will be moved to the AVAILABLE section on the Available
Dogs page.
- 12/5/00 - Jaysen's Foster
Mom writes: "Jaysen is the answer to the perpetual tail wagging
machine. It never stops! He loves everyone and especially the kids. He
licks a lot also. He is a little over enthusiastic but it's all love and he
is very sweet. He needs to be trained but learns quickly. He is good
on the leash. He jumps up a lot and has no idea that stealing food off the
table when you're sitting there is a dumb idea. He seems house broken but
has had a few accidents. I think that is mainly due to the new surroundings
as he does do his thing in the yard and when let out of the crate he'll run
right to the door. He defiantly thinks the furniture is his to sit on,
but he is starting to get the idea that our bed is off limits . He's
OK in the crate and will get better when things get a little more permanent
for him. He is great with other dogs and just wants to play. At
one point we had four in the house , two besides him and my boxer and he was
in heaven! He will make a wonderful pet"

12/3/00 - Jaysen is a 15 month
old flashy brindle boxer boy. He has a docked tail and cropped ears,
although his ears don't stand. Jaysen will be neutered and brought up to
date on shots. He is crate-trained and housebroken. Jaysen was surrendered
to rescue because his previous owner had to move and could not take him
along. He is good with other dogs, children, and doesn't seem to mind
cats. Jaysen also loves the water. He is very thin right now but when he
gains weight he will be a good size boy.
