"Kallee"

This dog has been adopted but has not yet completed the two week "trial period" in it's new home. We are no long accepting applications or inquiries. Should the placement prove to be a poor fit for dog and/or family, he/she will be moved to the AVAILABLE section on the Available Dogs page.

• 1/12/01 - Kallee has blossomed into a wonderful and friendly addition to our foster family. She loves to just hang out with anyone that can sit long enough to keep her company. She would be a great companion for someone who stays at home and has no other dogs. She has been on a diet and has gained back some of her girlish figure. I still have to weigh her in to see how much she has lost and how much more we have to go. She has been around my teenagers and seems to do well with them. Not sure about younger children but am planning on introducing her to my nieces who are 4 and 6. Will update as soon as this happens.

• 12/31/00 - Kallee is a beautiful boxer girl we just pick up today. Her owners had to give her up because of medical reason and it was hard for them to care for her. She is over weight and will find out by how much when I take her to the vets tomorrow. Needs her nails done. She is spayed and all up to date on shots. She tends to be protective over people. She was always with her lady owner and did as she pleased. We are working on separation concerns but it seems to be working out well. She has never been crated but has not given us any problems when we have crated her.  Gets along well with non dominate females. Haven't tried a male dog yet. Seems to watch my cats as they go by. She was in a breeding kennel that bred smaller dogs. Her job was to socialize the pups. She allowed them to crawl over her and acted like a mother to them. She is house trained and has been through obedience training and it shows. She knows Sit, Down, Stay, Heel, and Come. She is a very sweet boxer. Needs to be taught who top dog is and that she can once again have a loving family.
