"Kelly"

This dog has been adopted but has not yet completed the two week "trial period" in it's new home. We are no long accepting applications or inquiries. Should the placement prove to be a poor fit for dog and/or family, he/she will be moved to the AVAILABLE section on the Available Dogs page.

• 12/16/00 - Kelly arrived into rescue one week ago today - just in time to join us for our annual volunteer appreciation night!  Although she had never spent much time around other dogs - she thoroughly enjoyed their company - large & small, young & old!  Don't let that gray face fool you - she was bouncing around and encouraging all the dogs to play with her!
  
  Kelly will be 9 yo in another week.  She spent her life with an older couple.  The woman passed away a couple of years ago and the gentleman has just entered a nursing home.  His family were beside themselves about what to do with Kelly.  She had been in a boarding kennel for a couple of weeks when they learned of breed rescue.  We had her out of the kennel and into a foster home immediately after being contacted!  Kelly has adjusted to the change well and her former owner is so relieved to know that she is being cared for. 
  
  Kelly is aging gracefully!  She does receive eye drops for a condition known as dry eye and a supplement for some slight arthritis in the hind quarters.  She loves everyone she meets and just laps up the attention!
