"Lexi"

I've been Adopted!!
   

• 2/18/00 - Lexie is a 31/2 year old female.  She came into our home just before the holidays as an early present to myself and my eight year old son.  Approx. a month later my childhood asthma started up, I went to my Doctors to help to control my attacks but it soon escalated into having to be hospitalized for severe breathing difficulties.  We've tried everything but to know avail...our only option now is to find Lexie a new home.  
  
  Lexie will be an added bonus into any families life, she loves children actually any person gets Lexie so excited, I think she believes people are around just for her to get hugs and kisses from...she has complete run of our home while we are out she doesn't snoop or get into anything.  Her nickname from my son is "Wiggle Bums" because of how excited she becomes when we arrive home.  Once she is covered in kisses and hugs she calms right down.  
  
  She even knows her own toys and can retrieve them if you ask her to go and get a particular one!! A game of tug of war is her favorite activity once we get home.  Chasing the flashlight with my son is another, she doesn’t seem to tire of that!!   She loves to go for rides in the car, if you pick up her lease she will run and sit beside you until you put it on her.  She will  tug at the lease but understands after a little bit and will stay by your side.  
  
  She doesn't like to be crated although she hasn't had any accidents to worry about!!  Lexie will do wonderful in a home with children and to have someone home during the day with her is something I think she longs for she does tend to become a bit lonely by herself all day.  A fenced in yard would benefit her she loves to run and run and if you have a tennis ball watch out!!!!  She comes in and out great just a quick bark and she lets you know on what side of the door she wants to be...

• 12/11/99 - Lexie is a pretty 3 1/2 yr old spayed female. She is fawn with a black mask, has a little white on her chest, has natural ears, and weighs about 50 pounds. She was surrendered by her owner to a shelter due to unfortunate circumstances. Lexie is a love of a dog. She is very affectionate, loves people of all ages including young children. She is great with other dogs, however she has never lived with a cat. She is housetrained, and can be trusted loose in the house when alone. She is very well behaved, but she could benefit from an obedience course to help her walk more calmly on lead. Lexie is basically a "no problem" dog.
