Adopted 10/032/26/02 - Lulu is approximately 2 years old. A small shelter called and asked us to take her. They thought she was very sweet and friendly and felt rescue could help her find the right home. LuLu loved the other dogs she was allowed to play with. LuLu is heartworm positive. She needs a quiet place to recover after treatment. The rest period is 4 to 6 weeks. We are looking for a foster or permanent home for this dog. She is now at one of our veterinarian's offices and will need to be moved shortly. If a dog (like LuLu) is not sick from the heartworm disease there are no health issues after treatment. Her life span is not shortened by this disease.
