"Rocky"
3/15/01 -
Update from the foster home: Rocky is a typical 15 month old boxer, full
of energy and spunk. He is doing very well. Rocky does not counter surf,
he will try and beg if you're eating but if you tell him no, he will
listen. Rocky had an accident in my house the first night he was here but
not since then. He needs leash work, he pulls a great deal. He knows sit,
down, paw, and we're working on stay. Rocky is easily trainable because he
will do ANYTHING for a treat. When Rocky is stressed, as he was the first
couple of days in my home, he is a handful. He doesn't listen very well,
he is very hyper, and has "selective" hearing. But once he feels
comfortable, he is a different dog. Rocky now plays with my other dogs,
but when the play becomes too rough, he will stop when told. He is very
energetic but that's to be expected, he's young. Rocky is very happy
snuggling on the couch, sleeping next to my feet, and just being around
people. Rocky needs a fenced yard so he can run and burn off some of that
energy!
3/12/01 -
Rocky is a 15 month old fawn, docked male. He is neutered, up to date on
shots, and crate trained. He is also a spoiled BRAT! Rocky has not been
taught "his manners" yet but we are working on that. He is
also one of the most loveable boys we've ever met. He adores
other dogs and people. He is a very big boy, already weighing in at
65lbs. Rocky will not be placed with children because he can be
overwhelming. We would like Rocky to be placed with another dog and
preferably a fenced yard for him to run.
Rocky needs a "boxer
experienced" home that will be consistent with his training. When
Rocky knows what is expected of him, he will be a wonderful companion.
