Rosie
ADOPTED 12/24/01 This dog has been adopted but has not yet completed the two week trial period in its new home. Should the placement prove to be a poor fit for dog and/or family, the will be moved to the available dogs section.
12/21/01 - Rosie is a boxer mix. She is about 9 months old, and she was just taken from a horrible shelter where she was going to be put down. She is the sweetest dog ever. All that she wants to do is cuddle and be pet. She is great with everyone. She is in a shelter in PA that we work with frequently and they are treating her for kennel cough and we hope she can find a great home for the holidays. Please help us help her.

Tricia, at the wonderful shelter that is now fostering Rosie, makes these
remarks:
"Please meet Rosie. This is a baby-doll of a dog, with, truly, the spirit of an
angel. With what she's been through, it's amazing she still loves people and
other animals so much. She is approx. 9 mos. old. She is a boxer mix. She was
rescued from a 'shelter,' if you could really call it that, and brought to us,
just in the knick of time. She was lucky, I'll tell ya. Her time was almost
up, when we decided that we had to take her. The reason to be put to sleep: a
very curable, though non-contagious skin condition called demodex. The shelter
had not been treating her correctly, so her condition had worsened. When she
came to our shelter, she ate 4 platters, almost acting starved, like she hadn't
eaten in days. Well, she has settled in now, and slowly making progress. It
will be a long road before Rosie is totally 'beautiful' again. But, with our
perseverance on getting her back in shape, she'll be ready for Dog Fancy, in no
time! Note: Rosie is so insecure, that she submits to anybody that walks
by, she kisses their faces, even if they don't really want her to." The
