This dog has been adopted
but has not yet completed the two week "trial period" in it's new
home. Should
the placement prove to be a poor fit for dog and/or family, he/she will be moved
to the AVAILABLE section on the Available Dogs page.
5/16/00 - Maxwell and Samson are best buddies. They get along
great and do everything together. Even though they are opposites, they were really made for
each other. They are both 1 years old, and were brought up together. Max is a real help in getting
Samson to be at ease. Samson is a true friend to Max. Samson is low key, shy and mellow- yet
coming out of his shell a bit more every day. He takes time to fell comfortable around strangers, but
once he gets to know and trust you, he is a true love. Max is your typical fun lovin', ready to wrestle
and play kind of boxer. Always upbeat, loves everyone and everything. Greets strangers with lots of
boxer wiggles and kisses.
Basically these two kid friendly, cat lovin' guys are a dynamic duo, so If you are ready for a
balanced pair, Samson and Max are it.

3/23/00 - Samson is an 11month old fawn male with natural ears and cropped tail. He is a very special boy that
will need a very special family. The vet heard a heart murmur and said he needs an echo
cardiogram. This is a potential health problem, but on the other hand, may end up to be something only
minor. We will keep you updated on his health status. Secondly, as a small puppy, Samson must have
experienced a very traumatic experience. He is very scared of anyone that comes near him, with the
exception of his current family (that can no longer keep him). He currently has a boxer brother that
has helped him to come out of his shell. He is super sweet and not a bad bone in his body. He is
housetrained and wants to please. He loves his 3 yr old human sister, and lets her tug, pull, and sit
him all she wants. He hates to be outside, prefers the security of being inside. Samson really needs
a gentle soul to sooth his broken heart. If you have patients and time to give to this guy, he will open
up to you and love you unconditionally forever and ever.
Remember, do not apply for this dog if you are looking for a typical boxer. This he is NOT! He is
introverted, and would prefer to stay under the table than go out to play. He needs someone that is
very affectionate and wants a real softy.
