"
Sophie"
She is very athletic & has jumped up on high furniture! She gets down nicely when asked, & seems that she has talent for agility! She usually listens well (is a little stubborn but will follow through if you're consistent) & has come when called in no distraction situations.
Still plays nicely with her
foster sister! She is doing better in the crate too- I don't hear
barking when I leave the house now. (The wonders of cheez whiz!)"
2/27/01 - Sophie's vet records
have arrived and show she was born 8/99. She was kept UPT on all
vaccinations and had no health problems listed. Her foster home
reports that she is calming down a little- still very focused on the cats, but sitting for food well & to have her leash on 95% of the time (gets distracted easily outside).
She is scheduled to be spayed on 3/8 and will be available for her forever
home shortly after.
2/18/01 - Sophie is a one year old fawn female with natural ears and a docked tail. She weighs about 60-65 pounds. As a young pup, she lived with children ages 3-12 and was good with them according to her former owner. Would probably do better with older children as she needs training not to jump!
She is a lovely dog, listens well though hasn't had much obedience training so far. Not too bad on a leash, though she comes from the country and I hear she is a runner, so she would need a fenced in yard. We are slowly introducing her to the crate. Hasn't learned not to jump (wants to be as close as possible, like in your lap!) so we're working on that.
Sophie gets along fine with her foster sister as you can see in these photo's. She is a bit too rough with the cats though. She is scheduled to be spayed and have a physical at the end of February.
