"Tadpole"

• 11/13/00 - As you can see Tadpole isn't a boxer but he still deserves a second chance.  From the information we've gathered, he was bounced from home to home as a young pup and his last owner dumped him on her parents when he was 3 months old. They had no desire to own a puppy, but held on to him hoping that she might return. He spent the next month and a half living in a crate 24 hours a day, only getting out to go to the bathroom. They finally gave up and he ended up at a local shelter.

  Luckily he was able to go straight into foster care. Although we aren't sure, he appears to be a lab/hound mix of some sort. He's 6 months old now and completely house trained. After months in a cage he was a bit energetic at first but he is now settling down nicely. He has a wonderful personality and loves everyone and everything he meets. His foster home has a small dog, a boxer, 3 cats and a litter of kittens (also in foster care). He gets along with them all. We also have an 18 month old daughter and he appears to be child-proof. 
  
  Tad is a quick learner and knows some basic obedience including: come, down, sit, stay, leave it, and a few simple tricks. He's a very sweet boy with lots of love to give to his next family.
